Service led by Terry Price started off with his famous "doggie bag" which has become something all the little folk wait patiently for when Terry arrives. Not to let the side down Terry produced his famous "doggie bag" and produced a selection of items First was a bottle of water We need to be grateful for these basic items he told the little ones He then reached into the bag and brought our a mini loaf of bread followed by a box of chocolates followed by a jumper. He pointed out how fortunate we were to have all of our daily needs and also some luxury ones too. He also said that we needed to say thank you for our daily needs. Terry then proceeded to let the little folk move out to Sunday Schoiol and then went on to do his sermon that was from Hebrews 10 : 1 - 12 Terry pointed out how temporary the law of old was and how in order to get close to the top rulers, we would have had to qualify and go through multiple levels of authority to do so, while after Jesus came to earth in the flesh and then died for us on the cross we now have an everlasting and non "gated" or guarded Saviour who is right beside us whenever and wherever we need Him.

Aleida Van Der Flier presented the sermon and answered the questions we posed earlier in the week being "What is the Kingdom of Heaven / Kingdom of God ?" and "Did you ever wonder why Jesus began his ministry in Galilee rather than in Jerusalem ?" Aleida showed the children a video of how Jesus presented himself to the fisherman and told them to return to the water and try again for the catch that they so needed. He showed them that they could trust him and that he would provide for their every need. They returned to the water and were soon pulling in their nets laden with so many fish that they had never before caught. They instantly knew that Jesus was more than just another man who appeared in their lives. He told them to leave everything and go into the country and become "fishers of men" where they would be "fishing" for people to join the church and follow God. This was the beginning of his recruitment of His 12 Apostles. After the video Aleida called on a member of the congregation to do the weekly bible reading. The reading given was from Matthew 4: 12-19 Service was opened by Emily who did the mornings announcements. She then handed over to Rev Terry Price who led the sermon which was based on: Hebrews 6: 13 - 20, Hebrews 11:8 and Genesis 22: 16-17 Terry showed how much in our lives is temporary and only the word of good is permanent and trust worthy because it was given as an oath from God himself. Terry showed the lesson to the little children who had gathered in front of the church, using bottles of bubbles that he blew into the air. The first bottle of bubbles made small bubbles that popped also immediately after they were blown. The second bottle of bubbles produced larger bubbles which lasted much longer but eventually they also popped. Terry said that this was not like Gods word, and he then produced his Bible from his infamous "Doggie Bag". He said that the bible was something that lasted forever and was always there to reconfirm Gods oath to us - Hebrews 6:19 - 20 and Hebrews 7: 18-21 |
