The vote was a unanimous "YES" with all voted receiving an affirmative response We therefore welcome Rev Michael Anderson as our new minister. We look forward to him, his wife Emma and their family joining us very shortly. Below is the transcript of the service from the 20th October 2019
The message from the preachingThe following is a summation of the service as provided by Jean Hendry - Thank you Jean for the information. He spoke about the majestic power of God using a lion, a strutting rooster and a king ready for battle as examples of power. However all of these are ready for action. So the people of God must also be ready for action to do God's work every day. Proverbs 30 v 29. The Harvest Thanks Giving service Opened by Emily with the announcements. She then handed over to Alistair who got the children to the front to answer some questions. He asked what the day was that we were celebrating ? He then asked them to identify the us fruits and Vegetables that were beautifully displayed around the church. He spoke about how there is so much that is not appreciated about what we have been given and also how God is in overall charge of everything. Alistair asked the children to hold up two banners, one with the word "Harvest" and the second with "Thanks Giving" on IT. These we to remind us to say thank you for all the things that we are provided for through God's will and also due to the abilities of the farmers
to provide us with produce. LET US NOT FORGET ! TO LISTEN TO THE SERVICE PLEASE CLICK THE LINK BELOW Service was opened with announcements - the most exciting was that the process for a new minister was finalised in Belfast and that one candidate had been approached for the post. Gary then presented a bag and called the children to the front to see what was in the bag. He mentioned that the item in the bag was something he had kept since he was very young. He then produced a battery powered robot. Gary then asked the children what they believed was the main difference between them ( or us ) and a robot.
